The Footsteps That Paved My Path – Prologue

“A path is made with the footsteps of many people.” Reading this quote tempted me to reflect on my journey in life and the footsteps that paved my path.
Few days later I managed some ‘Me Time’ and started to jot down the names. Teachers, students, relatives, strangers, Egyptians, foreigners, Muslims, Christians, Buddhists and non-believers were on my list. While their footsteps varied between attitudes, behaviours, straight talks, indirect advices and actions, they all had one thing in common; they shaped my life and directed my path. Like the way we hold the driving wheel, they oriented me to turn a little to the left or make a detour. Some inspired me to make a stop to fuel gas or to check the map. Other helped me reflect on my vehicle and pay to it more attention.
In my new series “The Footsteps That Paved My Path” I share their stories and how they inspired me. I believe this is the least I can do to thank them and to express my gratitude. They possess a share in any success I might achieve one day and I’m blessed that our lives intersected.
