My father, may he rests in peace, was a very social man. He loved to throw parties often and to invite family and friends to our house. From these parties I learned many lessons from my mother’s walks. After each party my mother used to pack meals in disposable plates for the helps and the porters. Till now my mother has this ritual. Every time she invites us, her daughters, for a meal at her place, she would ask one of us to bring with her disposable plates. And after we finish eating she would fill the plates, sometimes asking us to give a hand, filling them with the finest food and ensuring to include big shares of meat.
From my mother’s walk I learned to be grateful for the food on my plate and to be thankful to God by always keeping a good share from it for the less fortunate.
